The big O!!

Unless you have been living under a very large rock, you probably noticed the Oprah circus came to town!!
Mum and I were very lucky to score 2 tickets in the lottery.
350,000 people applied for tickets and only 6,000 won them.
I flew up to Sydney on Monday night and was so exhausted. The people in the hotel room above us were partying until 5AM so I literally had 1 hours sleep.
    The golden tickets!

    Mum & the tickets.

I know I will keep this ticket forever!

Our day started at 6AM and we were in the line by 7:30AM, and at the very back of the line. People had camped out over night!!!

    Sydney went mad for Oprah.

    Oprah flags etc.
    News crews were everywhere.
Here we are, at the end of the line.
    Fantastic.
It did move quite quickly though.
Now we are in the vicinity, and the atmosphere of the crowd was amazing.

Once we made it in, there was no where left to sit.
Some people were taking up spots on the steps that could have fit 3 people, so the event workers had to walk around enforcing that people move handbags and what not.
We ended up with a fantastic spot at the front of the steps section, despite our lateness.
Everyone recieved a bottle of water, poncho, sunscreen and inflatable cushion to sit on.
I was fine sitting on it, but lots of older people around me were very vocal about being so uncomfortable.
There was also no shade, so everyone (including myself) got burnt despite the sunscreen.
They had a short collection of episodes etc that got the crowd really pumping.
    What's this?
    Why, it's OPRAH!!!!
She walked right past us, but these were the only pics I got in my excitement.
Just having her walk past us felt amazing. She has a really strong fantastic presence.

She looked amazing in her burnt orange outfit, but I imagine she was roasting.
She was so 'real' during commerical breaks etc.

On our feet for BON JOVI!!

    Stars featured:
    Terri, Bindi & Robert Irwin
    Russle Crowe
    Jay-Z
    Bon Jovi
I don't want to spoil the taping for when it airs, so will leave it at that!!
She gave away $250,000 to a family that were in need. The husband is suffering from both bowel & liver cancer and the wife had gone back to work to support him and their 2 boys.
    This was so touching.
She also gave all the students/teachers at a multicultural highschool for boys new HP laptops, Jay-Z's book, re-did the music room and library to the value of $1 million!!

Everyone in the audience was lucky enough to receive a Kailis Necklace featuring:
    10-12mm Australian South Sea pearl
    0.02ct 'secret' black diamonds
    includes 90cm sterling silver chain
    limited edition 'O' medallion
We send of for these, and they arrive in 8 weeks approx. They look stunning!!!!
Lots of people were complaining, that that is all we received. In the end, she gave money etc to people who were in need - and that is much more important than the audience getting freebies.
I think that because she kept thanking Motorola, Telstra, Amex, Quantas that the crowd thought we would get free phones.
    I personally preferred the necklace!!
