Where.. where... where?

Late Night Mickey D

Last night Celeste, Vanessa and I headed out to Jett Black on Greville Street again.

I love that moment when you get to the end of a very long line and you hear "Oh, these girls are regulars, let them straight in" - the power of being a group of 3 girls!!

I was having an ugly night so no photos were taken, except by the official photographer so maybe I will share that when it goes online.

I started the night in a fitted coral long sleeve dress, but knew I would sweat it up if I was dancing in the sauna that is Jett Black so changed into this Jane Lamerton dress.

I have gotten a lot of wear out of this dress considering I bought it on Wednesday before Easter.

I wore it to my Nannas funeral, to Easter Church and then to work during the week!!

I have never worn a dress 4 times in 2 weeks!!!

I feel pretty bad for constantly declining the guy who runs the night, when he adds me on facebook (he doesn't get the hint after 4 declines..) now that he was so nice last night.

Of course we had to have The Late Night Meal of Champions after Jett Black. We literally drove around for 20 minutes looking for a McDonalds.

McChicken Burger with Extra McChicken Sauce

    Small Fries

I fed majority of my fries to this seagull, I named him Jim.

I'm getting BRACES... again!

So, guess what I am doing in 2 weeks?

Yep, thats right. Getting my top teeth corrected, again.

I had braces for three years and wore my retainers religiously at night time once they were removed.. and then I moved in with S.

I can't talk when I have them in, I dribble in my sleep, I do all sorts of freaky shit.

I stopped wearing them nightly. It went from nightly, to once a week, to once a fortnight, to once every 2 months, to "I've left my retainer in Los Angeles!!!".

My bottom teeth started to moved a year back and I had my teeth shaved down inbetween them, then straightened out with a plate and then a permanent bar placed on the back of my teeth which has solved that problem.

Pity about the 5 teeth to the right of my big teeth. They have all merged back, so far back that in photos they look a different colour as they have a shadow on them.

It has driven me nuts. I hate it.

I went to my Orthodontist yesterday, taking a sneaky 2 hour lunch break, and the news that the only way to repair it would be to have my top braces put back on, but this time on the inner of my mouth so not visible, and to then have the metal bar put on in 6 months time.

    I agreed. $3,000 later.

At least my teeth will be perfect again.

Teeth are one of the things I always notice on a person, they are very important to me.

I would have said yes even if I had to have the braces on the front of my teeth, they would be kind of cute!!

iPhone Photos 29/4/11

Here are some photos I took yesterday on my iPhone using Instagram.

I am going out in an hour, yet am sitting here, with dirty hair. I need to get in the shower but prefer to procrastinate.

White

Can someone please help a girl out and tell me what these flowers are called?

    I love them.

I bought this bunch today at the South Melbourne Market.

They look perfectly at place in that vase, along with my beautiful candle holders.

I love the fullness, they are almost fluffy, like peonies.

    Fresh flowers make my day.

The Royal Wedding

I get goosebumps every time I look at photos of this wedding.

I feel so lucky to have been able to watch it.

William & Harry looked so handsome in their uniforms!

I think that Carole got this look 100% correct. Stunning, timeless and classy.
I must be the only out there that loves whatsherfaces outfit! Okay, the bow hat looks like reindeer horns - I get that, but the rest of the outfit is divine. I would wear it in a heart beat!

I don't know about you, but the hair on the back of my neck stood up when I saw Kate.

I feel as though I have no words to describe her.
Prettttyyyyyy sure I predicted the lace sleeves on this very blog a few days back!
I think that the sleeves paired with the V neck and sweetheart neckline are what made it so classic yet modern at the same time.
Her waist is to die for, so tiny!

    Dayam, Pippa looked smoking hot.

I still don't think she stole the show though, how could she?!!?

I love this photo, they were sticking to protocol and being very serious the whole time, but obviously snuck this grin in!

I think she was the perfect bride, 100%. I can not fault one thing about her.

If I look 20% as good on my wedding day I will be thrilled.

I loved the second kiss, the first one was so quick!

    Perfect Royalty.

I can't stop looking at that waist!

The Cartier tiara was magnificent also!

I did not see this part on the telecast last night, and let out a massive "Awwwwwww" when I saw these photos.

Loving all of the decorations, good work Harry!

(PS. Am I the only one who does not find Harry cute?!)

    The Reception Dress

    Stunning all over again.

In fact, I am having a very similar belt with my wedding dress!!!!

Not sure about the angora bolero but hey, it was cold!

I hope the release a photo without the bolero on it.

I also wonder what sort of shoes Kate was wearing?

Lovely dress, pretty low cut though!!

The Middletons are a stunning family.

I feel so lucky to be able to say I watched The Royal Wedding,

TIGER TIGER

    TIGER, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
    What immortal hand or eye
    Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare seize the fire?

And what shoulder and what art
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand and what dread feet?

What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? What dread grasp
    Dare its deadly terrors clasp?

When the stars threw down their spears,
And water'd heaven with their tears,
Did He smile His work to see?
Did He who made the lamb make thee?

    Tiger, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
    What immortal hand or eye
    Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

WHY HARRY POTTER SHOULD HAVE CARRIED AN M1911

I am not a Potter fan but I have kids so I have been exposed to it . . . I even knew a guy who wrote a master's thesis on the Harry Potter phenomena . . .

. . . this latest wizard insanity comes from an Internet personality known to us only as . . .
    "Whind_Soull" -

Ok, this has been driving me crazy for seven movies now, and I know you're going to roll your eyes, but hear me out: Harry Potter should have carried a 1911.

    Here's why:

Think about how quickly the entire WWWIII (Wizarding-World War III) would have ended if all of the good guys had simply armed up with good ol' American hot lead.

Basilisk? Let's see how tough it is when you shoot it with a .470 Nitro Express.

Worried about its Medusa-gaze? Wear night vision goggles. The image is light-amplified and re-transmitted to your eyes. You aren't looking at it - you're looking at a picture of it.

Imagine how epic the first movie would be if Harry had put a breaching charge on the bathroom wall, flash-banged the hole, and then went in wearing NVGs and a Kevlar-weave stab-vest, carrying a SPAS-12.

And have you noticed that only Europe seems to a problem with Deatheaters? Maybe it's because Americans have spent the last 200 years shooting deer, playing GTA: Vice City, and keeping an eye out for black helicopters over their compounds. Meanwhile, Brits have been cutting their steaks with spoons. Remember: gun-control means that Voldemort wins. God made wizards and God made muggles, but Samuel Colt made them equal.

Now I know what you're going to say: "But a wizard could just disarm someone with a gun!" Yeah, well they can also disarm someone with a wand (as they do many times throughout the books/movies). But which is faster: saying a spell or pulling a trigger?

    Avada Kedavra, meet Avtomat Kalashnikova.

Imagine Harry out in the woods, wearing his invisibility cloak, carrying a .50 cal Barrett, turning Deatheaters into pink mist, scratching a lightning bolt into his rifle stock for each kill.

I don't think Madam Pomfrey has any spells that can scrape your brains off of the trees and put you back together after something like that. Voldemort's wand may be 13.5 inches with a Phoenix-feather core, but Harry's would be 0.50 inches with a tungsten core. Let's see Voldy wave his at 3,000 feet per second. Better hope you have some Essence of Dittany for that sucking chest wound.

I can see it now . . . Voldemort roaring with evil laughter and boasting to Harry that he can't be killed, since he is protected by seven Horcruxes, only to have Harry give a crooked grin, flick his cigarette butt away, and deliver what would easily be the best one-liner in the entire series:

    "Well then I guess it's a good thing my 1911 holds 7+1."

And that is why Harry Potter should have carried a 1911.

Curry Time

Sometimes I crave food. Actually, that's a lie. I always crave food.

Today my craving was Green Curry, Roti Bread and steamed rice.

S is interstate so I am fending for my self in the food stakes, which means I can get take away and not have to have him tsk tsk me.

I walked home with my order, and then realised that they did not include the rice. I then spilled curry over the kitchen floor.

Fear not, it still tasted delicious.

Here is is, on our ironing board.

I have enough left over for tomorrows lunch also - hurrah!

I just spoke to my friend Beetroot who proclaimed "You make me sick." after hearing what I had for dinner. Weirdo.

I spoke to him for 46 minutes, that boy can talk.

Royal Wedding Fever

    I have Royal Wedding Fever.

I have had it for a while now!

I can't wait to watch it!!! I don't know if it is because I love a fairy tale ending or just that I am generally wedding obsessed.

What do you think she will wear?

I see her in something with lace sleeves.
    A less is more approach.

Are you sick of the coverage yet? I'm not!!

Creepy Cake Toppers!

For those who have been wondering what I am talking about when I say "Creepy Cake Toppers" this is it.

Cake toppers, made to resemble the bride and groom.

I love a little bit of tack.

They will not actually be on the cake, it's far too beautiful for a cake topper, but they will be on the cake table.
I have to send the website (wowminime) pictures of our faces, heigh difference, wedding dress, tux, flowers etc so that it can resemble us as much as possible.

I love that they are ceramic so we can keep them for ever!

I can't deny that they are creepy, but I think that is what makes me love them!!

Wedding Shopping FRENZY

    I have gone mad.

I'm experiencing a wedding shopping frenzy.

I just ordered these cute little bouquet tiles for the bouquets at the wedding, but they say different things and are personalised to each girl.

I also got this ring bearers bowl, again, with different wording but I will keep that a surprise.
    Yippeee.

I need to order our creepy personalised cake toppers today or tomorrow also, whilst I am on a roll.

The above are from etsy seller, Palomas Nest.
