Look away if you hate teeth/mouths/gums/me.

This is what my teeth looked like up until 2002. When my friends found out I was getting braces they all said "Leave your teeth as they are!! They are so cute!". Talk about trying to sabotarge me!



I looked like Jaws.



Excuse me whilst I shudder in disgust.







My teeth on Friday 13 May. I have had my braces off for 7.5 years.




With a date like that I was convinced something would go wrong.
The procedure took about an hour, and did not hurt at all. They only thing that was unpleasant was having my mouth wide open for an hour.



The offending teeth. Looking front on it is not too noticable, but from the side it shows very obviously.



I kid you not, in the last 2 days my teeth have moved a little bit.



They are tender, but not too bad and I have been able to eat as normal.

I also only have a tiny lisp happening, and my Mum did not even pick up on it.

Oral B 500

My old toothbrush died a painful death, when our bathroom sink thing flooded.




The time has come to get a new one. I just can't deal with standard toothbrushes. I love the clean that an electric tooth brush gives me. Maybe I just get lazy with a manual one.




Tomorrow is the big day people.


I get my lingual braces.


Frig My Life.


I just can't WAIT to be a lisping mofo with sore teeth.




It has been said that I will lose weight when I have my braces on since it hurts so much to eat solids for a while. My mum is already telling me "You have lost too much weight, you look painfully thin, what are you doing?! Are you eating?!" Considering that I have not lost ANY weight I don't know what the hell she is on about. If I lose any weight I'll be listening to her bitch for hours.

I'm getting BRACES... again!

So, guess what I am doing in 2 weeks?


Yep, thats right. Getting my top teeth corrected, again.




I had braces for three years and wore my retainers religiously at night time once they were removed.. and then I moved in with S.


I can't talk when I have them in, I dribble in my sleep, I do all sorts of freaky shit.




I stopped wearing them nightly. It went from nightly, to once a week, to once a fortnight, to once every 2 months, to "I've left my retainer in Los Angeles!!!".




My bottom teeth started to moved a year back and I had my teeth shaved down inbetween them, then straightened out with a plate and then a permanent bar placed on the back of my teeth which has solved that problem.


Pity about the 5 teeth to the right of my big teeth. They have all merged back, so far back that in photos they look a different colour as they have a shadow on them.



It has driven me nuts. I hate it.




I went to my Orthodontist yesterday, taking a sneaky 2 hour lunch break, and the news that the only way to repair it would be to have my top braces put back on, but this time on the inner of my mouth so not visible, and to then have the metal bar put on in 6 months time.


I agreed. $3,000 later.


At least my teeth will be perfect again.




Teeth are one of the things I always notice on a person, they are very important to me.




I would have said yes even if I had to have the braces on the front of my teeth, they would be kind of cute!!
